Diversified property group GPT Group
(ASX:GPT) has appointed Bob Johnston as its new CEO, who is the current Managing Director of Frasers Australand.
The appointment comes after outgoing boss Michael Cameron announced he would resign in April and step into the top job at Suncorp Group Limited
(ASX:SUN) in October.
GPT Group says its new chief will start no later than January 25, 2016 as he has a six month notice period with his current employer.
GPT Chairman Rob Ferguson says Mr Johnston is the right choice to lead the company as it looks to capitalise on its strong position in the AREIT sector.
GPT Group reported a net profit of $645 million in the 2014 calendar year.
