Australia’s Big Four Banks have announced packages to provide assistance for customers impacted from wild storms which swept across the east coast of New South Wales this week.

National Australia Bank Limited (ASX:NAB) will donate up to $300,000 to a range of not-for-profit organisations in affected areas and has also implemented disaster relief measures for storm affected customers.

Westpac Banking Corporation (ASX:WBC) says its relief package will provide immediate financial help to impacted customers and fast-track insurance claims.

ANZ Banking Group (ASX:ANZ) says its financial relief measures will allow customers to access funds needed to help them get back on their feet.

Commonwealth Bank of Australia’s (ASX:CBA) emergency assistance package will include accommodation assistance and customised assistance.

The banks have also advised of a number of branches which have been temporarily shut as a result of the storms.

National Australia Bank reported a net profit of $5.29 billion in the year to the end of September 2014.
