ANZ assisting SA customers hit by bushfire

Company News

ANZ Banking Group (ASX:ANZ) has announced an assistance package for customers affected by the bushfires in South Australia.

Part of its assistance package will include suspending repayments on loans, including credit cards, for up to three months.

ANZ will waive fees associated with restructuring business loans considered necessary due to bushfire impacts.

The bank will also provide temporary adjustments to lending limits and allow customers to access term deposits early without incurring any fees.

ANZ reported a net profit of $7.23 billion in the 12 months to the end of September 2014.
