COMMENCEMENT OF WORK-OVER OPERATIONS
23 June 2011. Triangle Energy (Global) Limited (Triangle Energy) (ASX: TEG) is pleased to announce the commencement of its work-over operations.
Rig#88 Skytop Brewster is rigged up on location at Pase A-2 and pressure testing has been completed. All support services are also on location.
Work-over operations commenced at 12:00 midday Jakarta time on Wednesday 22 June.
Immediate operations include drilling out temporary cement plugs from Pase A-2 to total depth.
Pase A-2 was drilled as an appraisal well by Mobil in 1984 but was never produced. Three Drill Stem Tests (DSTs) were successfully conducted and a maximum rate of 23.9 MMcf/d was recorded during DST#3A (maximum flow rate for a Hydro spring FulFlo Valve testing tool), a comingled eutu/Belumai test (no cement). Additionally, the Bruksah sandstone flowed a maximum rate of 22.5 MMcf/d.
Following the work-over of A-2 the rig will be moved 4.2 km to Pase A-1 to remove a blockage inside the existing 7” production string, providing access to an additional 442 feet of lower reservoir.
Triangle Energy looks forward to providing further updates with respect to its work-over program.
