Highlights of FY13
Project Awarded or Extended:
- Continued long history of working with Peabody Energy Australia at the North Goonyella Mine in Queensland, with extension of works into the NSW Hunter Valley Wambo Mine
- Integra Roadworks Supplementary Labour
- BHP IC Appin A9 516 Conveyor Installation
- Eagle Downs Coal Management (EDCM) award of contract to install box cut concreting and portal arches
- Engineering continue to win equipment overhauls in a tight market, plant hire has continued to maintain market share and fabrication work has been strong in the underground ventilation devices
- Engineering developed new service levels with flameproof electrical overhaul works accreditation being attained at the Hunter workshop, this has enabled WDS to consolidate the underground overhaul works into the one workshop facility at Cameron Park Newcastle.
