Robust Resources Ltd, Positive Drilling and Peak New Surface Assays Expand Resource Potential at Batu Hitam

Robust Resources Limited (ASX:ROL, “Robust” “the Company”) is pleased to confirm further exploration success at its 77.5%-owned Romang Island Project1, Indonesia.

The Company is in the course of evaluating extensions to the near-surface oxide and transition-zone gold-silver mineralisation, which could be incorporated into mineral resources and may ultimately provide feed for an open pit mining operation and a heap leach treatment plant.

Robust has received assay results from 11 shallow diamond drill holes recently completed at the Batu Hitam East prospect in the Lakuwahi Caldera. All holes intersected near surface zones of silver and gold mineralisation having a weighted average of 19 metres at 1.20 g/t Au Equivalent.

The potential of Batu Hitam East has also been reinforced by recent detailed soil and rock geochemistry results. The silver soil geochemistry is shown on the contour map of Batu Hitam and surrounding areas. It is clear from the map that the Batu Hitam East anomaly is significantly larger and stronger than the anomaly over the current resource areas of Batu Hitam and Batu Hitam West and is therefore a promising drilling target.

Recent exploration results from Batu Hitam East prospect have given the highest silver in soil assays (up to 159 g/t Ag) from Romang Island and the highest surface silver rock chip assay (709 g/t Ag). The eastern lobe of the anomaly, which contains highest silver in soil grades, has not yet been drilled and is therefore an attractive target for drilling.
