Robust Resources Limited (ASX:ROL) is pleased to report assay results from three diamond holes drilled at the Batu Perak prospect in the Lakuwahi Caldera, Romang Island. A total of four diamond holes have been drilled at Batu Perak totalling 730 metres.
The three new holes intersected polymetallic mineralisation of potentially economic grades. Of particular significance is the results from LWD221 which was collared approximately 80 metres north-east of the Batu Perak discovery-hole LWD190. LWD221 intersected a thick zone of strong, gold-and-silver-rich, polymetallic, breccia hosted mineralisation which included a high-grade section:
- 26.3m @ 1.63 g/t Au Eq1. (0.62 g/t Au, 43 g/t Ag) and 3.54% Comb. Pb+Zn+Cu, from 40m including,
- 7.2m @ 3.92 g/t Au Eq. (1.44 g/t Au, 116 g/t Ag) and 9.44% Comb. Pb+Zn+Cu, from 42.8m
The cross section shows that the intersection in LWD221 is likely to correlate with the upper mineralised zone in the Batu Perak discovery LWD190. The upper zone in LWD 190 recorded promising intersections including:
- 25m @ 2.06 g/t Au Eq. (1.40 g/t Au, 31 g/t Ag) and 1.95% Comb. Pb+Zn+Cu, from 39m including,
- 13.7m @ 3.21 g/t Au Eq. (2.20 g/t Au, 48 g/t Ag) and 2.60% Comb. Pb+Zn+Cu, from 40.3m
Extensions to the prospective deeper copper-rich polymetallic intersection (8m at 1.25% Cu, 1.98%Pb, 0.87% Zn, 0.68 g/t Au 22 g/t Ag) in LWD190 were not tested by LWD221. Additional drilling is planned to test this zone.
