Emerging domestic natural gas and helium producer, Renergen announces the completion of the commissioning of its second Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) filling station, in Johannesburg, South Africa. The filling station will commence supply of CNG to Black Knight Logistics (Black Knight), for a fleet of approximately 15 trucks starting this month.
Black Knight, along with Babcock Transport Solutions, who are the sole importer in Southern Africa for DAF Trucks, have converted the vehicles to run on a combination of CNG and diesel simultaneously, known as diesel dual fuel (DDF). DDF vehicles have reduced running costs and substantially lower greenhouse gas emissions compared to vehicles running on diesel alone.
