Highlights
- Drilling intersects additional high grade lead and zinc mineralisation at the Kubra Prospect, the newly discovered mineralisation zone first announced in March, 2011;
- This drilling is being completed with the objective of defining a new Mineral Resource for the Kubra Prospect, in addition to the Kapok West and Cadjebut Splay Mineral Resources in this area;
- These high grade drill holes are further confirmation that Meridian has discovered a new 600m long, trend of high grade lead and zinc mineralisation, outside of the existing Kapok West and Cadjebut Splay Mineral Resources;
- These drill results are interpreted to have the potential to be a significant new Mineral Resource in its own right;
- Several recently completed drill holes intersected further significant thicknesses of lead- zinc mineralisation and assays are pending;
- Highlights from the drill hole results released today include:
o 5m @ 8.9% Pb+Zn from 246m, including 1.65m @ 22.2% Pb+Zn in CS11-099
o 3m @ 6.2% Pb+Zn from 183m, including 2m @ 8.7% Pb+Zn in CS11-100
o 7m @ 4.3% Pb+Zn from 221m, including 2m @ 10.3% Pb+Zn in CS11-100
