Statement of Claim
Kentor Gold Limited (“Kentor” or “the Company”) has been advised that a Statement of Claim (“the Claim”) has been lodged against the Company and its subsidiary Kaldora Company Limited. The Claim has been issued by Invest-center Talas LLC (a Kyrgyz limited liability company), which recently had its minority ownership in Andash Mining Company LLC declared invalid by the Talas Inter-district Court.
The Claim requests that the Kaldora Company Limited, which holds Kentor’s 80% in Andash Mining Company LLC (AMC), be excluded from AMC on the basis that Kaldora “inflicted a material damage to the other members of AMC” and will be heard on 28 December 2010.
Kentor’s opinion is that there is no basis to this claim and that it is an attempt by ICT to delay the hearing of its appeal against the invalidation of its minority ownership in AMC. This hearing is scheduled for 29 December 2010.
Kentor intends to make submission to the Bishkek Interdistrict court on the 28th December to have the claim summarily dismissed.
