Listed in 2007, our vision to become Australia's leading independent coal company. Whitehaven Coal owns three operating open cut mines at Werris Creek, Tarrawonga and Rocglen, the highly productive Narrabri North underground mine and have commenced construction of the world-class Maules Creek Project.
The Vickery open cut project near our other open cut mines could be developed subject to market conditions after Maules Creek.
 
We also have several attractive exploration assets in NSW and Queensland.
 
We are committed to the sustainable development of our coal reserves, the safety and wellbeing of our employees and working constructively with local communities.
 
Of our 655 FTE (at 1 July 2014) 75% live and work in the area of our operations in North West New South Wales.
