Sydney Airport improving T1 road & car park

Company News

Sydney Airport Limited (ASX:SYD) says it will open the first stage of road and car park upgrades at T1 this month.

The owner of Sydney Airport advises the upgrades will come on schedule and in time to cater for the busy Christmas holiday travel season.

Improvements will include a new public pick up zone purpose-built for faster pick-ups and new centre road to improve traffic circulation.

Sydney Airport says the car park entry and exit boom gates will also be relocated to streamline traffic flow and reduce queuing.

The T1 project forms the first part of the airport’s Ground Transport Solutions plan which has been designed to improve traffic flow at and around the airport.

Sydney Airport generated a net profit of $176 million in the first half of its 2014 financial year.
