Sedgman Limited (ASX:SDM) has scored a $133 million EPC contract for a project at the Groote Eylandt Mining Company Manganese Mine.

The provider of services to the resources sector will execute the work in the Gulf of Carpentaria in the Northern Territory.

Sedgman will conduct design, supply, fabrication, construction and commissioning of a sands beneficiation plant, port stockpile expansion and associated infrastructure.

CEO and Managing Director Peter Watson says the contract forms part of Sedgman’s diversification strategy and the company now has more than 50 per cent of its current order book in commodities other than its traditional coal market.

The project is slated for completion in March 2016.

Sedgman reported a net loss of $7.69 million in the full 2014 financial year.
