Australian Agricultural Company trims H1 loss

Company News

Australian Agricultural Company Limited (ASX:AAC) has trimmed its first half loss and flagged strong beef sales ahead.

Australia’s biggest beef and cattle producer booked a net loss of $13.6 million, improving from a loss of $31.6 million the year before.

Managing Director Jason Strong says the result reflects the drive to transform from a production-led pastoral business to a vertically integrated beef company.

Looking ahead Australian Agricultural Company says the volume of braded beef sales is likely to remain strong and the coming months will see robust live cattle sales from the Grassfed business.

The company has also welcomed Australia's free trade deals with key markets such as Japan, Korea and China which will provide increased market access for its products.

No dividend has been declared.
