AJ Lucas Group Limited (ASX:AJL) has been awarded a contract for APA Group’s (ASX:APA) Eastern Goldfields Gas Pipeline in Western Australia.
The infrastructure, construction and mining services group will execute the contract in joint venture with Spiecapag Australia.
The contract is part of APA Group’s $140 million Goldfields Gas Pipeline expansion and includes the construction of the 293 kilometre gas transmission pipeline and infrastructure.
AJ Lucas expects to start pipeline construction in March ahead of the project’s completion slated for November 2015.
AJ Lucas Managing Director and CEO Russell Eggers says the company continues to tender for a number of significant contracts and is strengthening its position for the future.
AJ Lucas Group reported a net loss of $91.69 million in the 2014 financial year.
