Tabcorp Holdings Limited
(ASX:TAH) has advised Ellerston Capital has acquired a 5 per cent stake and become a substantial shareholder.
The gambling and entertainment company says its constitution contains restrictions prohibiting individuals from having a voting power of more than 10 per cent.
Ellerston Capital is an investment vehicle in which James Packer holds a 25 per cent interest.
The transaction comes in the same month Tabcorb tied up the acquisition of ACTTAB from the ACT government for $105.5 million.
Tabcorp Holdings improved its net profit by 3 per cent to $130 million in the full 2014 financial year.
