Healthscope Limited
(ASX:HSO) has been selected as the preferred bidder for the new Northern Beaches Hospital in Frenchs Forest, Sydney.
The New South Wales Government has selected the private hospital operator as the preferred bidder for the design, construction, financing and operation of the hospital.
Healthscope now plans to work with the state to achieve contractual close by the end of the year.
Managing Director and CEO Robert Cooke says Healthscope and its key partners, Thiess and BVN, are excited about the prospect of delivering the hospital.
The company expects to release further details of the project following contractual close.
Healthscope returned to public ownership and listed on the Australian Securities Exchange in July as part of a $3.6 billion float.
