Santos Limited (ASX:STO) has posted its highest quarterly production in seven years in the third quarter of the 2014 calendar year.
The oil and gas producer increased its output to 14 million barrels of oil equivalent (mmboe) in the three months to the end of September.
Managing Director and CEO David Knox has attributed the result to the successful ramp up of the PNG LNG project in Papua New Guinea.
The company has also highlighted the GLNG project in Queensland which it says continues to deliver key construction milestones and is almost 90 per cent complete.
Santos has confirmed production guidance of between 52 mmboe to 57 mmboe for the full 2014 calendar year.
Santos reported a net profit of $206 million in the first half of the 2014 calendar year.
