AMP Limited (ASX:AMP) has named Danish architect 3XN as the winning designer for its Quay Quarter Sydney precinct further progressing the landmark development.
The company’s AMP Capital says six major firms were invited to participate in the competition which ran over five months.
The brief focussed on revitalising the landmark site as much as providing state of the art office accommodation.
AMP Capital’s Managing Director Office & Industrial, Louise Mason, says AMP has been in the precinct for over 50 years and has a deep respect for the heritage of the area.
The project will now require further Stage 2 DAs to be submitted, and then approved by the City of Sydney.
AMP reported a net profit of $407 million in the first half of the 2014 calendar year.
