Qantas Airways Limited
(ASX:QAN) and its budget arm Jetstar have been shown to be the two most reliable major domestic airlines last month.
Australia’s biggest airline says it has topped the on-time performance chart while Jetstar has been named the second most punctual major domestic airline.
Qantas advises the data has been sourced from the Bureau of Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Economics (BITRE) for the month of August.
According to the figures Qantas also recorded fewer cancellations than other major airline competitors over the month.
The company says it has been the most on-time major domestic airline for five years in a row.
Qantas Airways extended its net loss to $2.8 billion in the full 2014 financial year.
