Australia’s biggest bank Commonwealth Bank of Australia
(ASX:CBA) has committed $10 million over five years to recognise the ANZAC Centenary.
CEO Ian Narev says the donation marks the bank’s commitment to commemorating past service as well as those Australians who continue to serve.
CBA will contribute to the ANZAC Centenary Public Fund to support the commemoration of the centenary of ANZAC across Australia from 2014 to 2018.
The bank says the commemorations will encompass all wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations in which Australia has been involved.
Commonwealth Bank of Australia’s net profit rose 13 per cent to a record $8.65 billion in the 2014 financial year.
