Spark Infrastructure lifts H1 profit by 17%

Spark Infrastructure Group (ASX:SKI) has lifted half year net profit after tax by 17.1 per cent to $89 million.

The result came despite a drop in volumes of electricity through its networks in South Australia and Victoria.

The infrastructure group declared an interim distribution of 5.75 cents per share bringing the total dividend to 11.5 cents in line with guidance and 4.5 per cent higher than the previous year.

Spark Infrastructure says asset companies continue to grow and generate reliable cashflows and re-affirmed growth of 3-5 per cent in 2015.
 
Spark Infrastructure reported net profit of $128 million for the full year to 31 December 2013.
