Qantas Airways Limited (ASX:QAN) will give its fleet of Boeing 737-800 aircraft a multi-million dollar make-over.
Australia’s biggest airline says the refurbishment will provide customers with a greater level of comfort and enhanced in-flight entertainment options.
The refreshed changes will include upgrading the interiors of 67 aircraft operating on the airline’s domestic network.
Qantas expects work to start mid next year and is slated for completion within 12 months.
The news comes as Qantas advised customers will get greater access to South America through the airline’s expanded codeshare relationship with LAN in the LATAM Airlines Group.
Qantas Airways reported a net loss of $235 million in the first half of the 2014 financial year.
