Kathmandu Holdings Limited (ASX:KMD) has revised up its forecast earnings for 2014 with total sales up 2.3 per cent on the previous year.
The outdoor equipment company says a run of cold weather in July helped boost sales which should see improved earnings of between $62.5 million and $65.5 million.
The company says net operating profit after tax however would be in the range of $39.5 million to $42.5 million compared to the previous year’s $44.2 million.
CEO Peter Halkett says it’s pleasing to have delivered a better full year result than they were anticipating a few weeks ago.
Kathmandu reported a net profit $10.5 million in the first half of the 2014 financial year.
