Shares in GR Engineering Services Limited (ASX:GNG) have jumped more than 5 per cent after scoring more work on the Origin Energy Limited (ASX:ORG) operated Australia Pacific LNG Project.
The engineering company will provide well site maintenance and associated services to support the project’s operations and maintenance activities in Queensland’s Surat Basin.
GR advises work has already begun on the first service order issued under the master services agreement.
Managing Director Geoff Jones says the award is consistent with the company’s diversification strategy and demonstrates its ability to develop and grow with leading oil and gas producers.
The award will be conducted by GR Engineering’s wholly owned subsidiary Upstream Production Solutions.
GR Engineering Services reported a net profit of $7.3 million in the first half of the 2014 financial year.
