Amcom signs up University of Melbourne

Company News

Amcom Telecommunications Limited (ASX:AMM) has signed University of Melbourne for Amcom Cloud Collaboration.

The telecommunications company says the deal will see it deploy the telephony and unified communication solution across the entire university community of about 13,000 users.

Amcom CEO Clive Stein says the announcement is a clear indicator of the product’s future potential in the higher education sectors.

Mr Stein also believes the large scale contract also validates the up-front investment Amcom has made into its Amcom Cloud Collaboration offering.

The services are expected to be progressively rolled out across University of Melbourne’s eight campuses over the remainder of 2014.

Amcom Telecommunications reported a net profit of $11 million in the first half of the 2014 financial year.
