Macquarie Atlas Roads Limited (ASX:MQA) has reported a rise in second quarter toll revenue for each of its toll roads, driven by stronger traffic and higher tolls.
The toll roads operator says toll revenue increased 4.2 per cent while weighted average traffic grew 3 per cent in the three months to the end of June.
Over the half year revenue rose 3.2 per cent and traffic rose 1.8 per cent, both of which were impacted by severe weather conditions in the US.
The results come just one week after the company flagged plans to raise $60 million to increase its stake in a French toll operator to 20.14 per cent.
Macquarie Atlas Roads reported a net profit of $1.4 billion in the full 2013 calendar year.
