Independence Group NL (ASX:IGO) says it has surpassed its production forecast for the 2014 financial year. The miner reports annual nickel, zinc and copper output at its Long Nickel Operation and Jaguar/Bentley Copper-Zinc-Silver Operation in Western Australia have beaten guidance.
The company also advises its 30 per cent owned Tropicana gold operation has gone very well in its first nine months of operation.
Managing Director Peter Bradford has described the announcement as an excellent result by the company’s operational teams at Jaguar and Long and by the Anglo Gold Ashanti operational team at Tropicana.
Mr Bradford has noted the strong quarterly production at Jaguar as a highlight where record tonnage was put through the processing plant in the June quarter.
Independence Group reported a net profit of $21.5 million in the first half of the 2014 financial year.
