Perpetual divests business to Diversa

Financial services group Perpetual Limited (ASX:PPT) has inked a deal to sell The Trust Company (Superannuation) Limited to Diversa Limited (ASX:DVA) for $2.65 million. 

Diversa is poised to acquire 100 per cent of The Trust Company (Superannuation) Limited who operate a third party superannuation trustee business. 

The Trust Company (Superannuation) was acquired by Perpetual in 2013 as part of a scheme of arrangement with The Trust Company Limited. 

Separately, Diversa has also announced it will buy 30 per cent in Tranzact Financial Services Limited from Gro-Aust Holdings Limited for $2.85 million with an option to purchase the remaining 70 per cent. 

Perpetual reported a net profit of $33.7 million in the first half of the 2014 financial year.
