Qantas will repay debt early

Qantas Airways Limited (ASX:QAN) will repay $450 million worth of debt eight months ahead of schedule.
 
Australia’s biggest airline recently issued a tranche of medium term notes and the proceeds will fund the repayment. 
 
Settlement is expected on August 20.
 
The company says liquidity is strong with over $3 billion in cash and undrawn bank lines.
 
Qantas Airways reported a net loss of $235 million in the first half of the 2014 financial year.
