Rare earths producer Lynas Corporation Limited (ASX:LYC) will switch its CEO to Amanda Lacaze immediately following the resignation of Eric Noyrez.
Ms Lacaze has been a non-executive director of the company since January 1, 2014 and previously held positions at organisations such as Telstra Corporation Limited
(ASX:TLS), Orion Telecommunications, ING Bank Australia, AOL and Telecom New Zealand.
Chairman Nicholas Curtis has described Ms Lacaze as an experienced CEO of private and public enterprises with more than 25 years of broad based senior managerial and operational experience.
Outgoing chief Mr Noyrez stepped into the top job in April 2013 over which time he has overseen the company ramp up rare earths production at its Malaysian refinery but faced concerns about the company’s funding position.
Shares in Lynas Corporation have plunged about 70 per cent over the past year and last traded at $0.165 before the CEO switch was announced.
Lynas Corporation widened its net loss to $59.3 million in the first half of the 2014 financial year.
