Niuminco focussing on gold and tin projects

Nuiminco Limited (ASX:NIU) is a mining and exploration company with assets both in Papua New Guinea and Tasmania, PNG being prospective for gold copper silver and Tasmania for tin tungsten magnetite and fluorspar. Managing Director Mr Tracey Lake discusses the Company’s various projects, including the take-over offer for TNT Mines Limited and their 72.5 per cent holding in that company. 
 
A JORC 2012 resource upgrade and inferred mineral resource is in place for both the Great Pyramid and Royal George projects. With around 10,000 tonnes contained tin at Great Pyramid and around 3,000 tonnes at Royal George, Nuiminco has 100 per cent ownership. Open pit mining is part of the attraction and the two deposits form part of Aberfoyle tin and tungsten project, including the Aberfoyle tin mine and adjacent Storey’s Creek.
