Yancoal reports two deaths at Austar Coal Mine

Yancoal Australia Limited (ASX:YAL) has reported two deaths at its Austar Coal Mine which occurred yesterday south west of Cessnock in New South Wales.  
 
The coal developer told the market this morning the underground incident occurred when a wall collapsed in an underground mine. 
 
Yancoal Australia ceased mining activities and initiated a recovery operation at the site while also advising local authorities of the fatalities. 
 
The company says it will continue to work closely with emergency services and the regulator. 
 
Yancoal purchased the mine in December 2004 and renamed it Austar Coal Mine.
 
Yancoal Australia reported a net loss of $832 million in the full 2013 calendar year.
