Reject Shop MD departs suddenly

Company News

Reject Shop Limited (ASX:TRS) MD Chris Bryce has resigned and will leave the retailer at the end of the current financial year. The company say he will stay on to complete planning for the 2015 financial year.

Mr Bryce joined The Reject Shop in 2003 and was appointed Managing Director in 2009. The company’s share price dropped sharply in January ahead of the reporting of a disappointing first half profit as the falling Aussie dollar impacted import margins.

The retailer also said it remained on track to meet its second half earnings targets, and full year profit guidance for fiscal 2014 and has opened three new stores in this half to date.

In the first half of the 2014 financial year, Reject Shop reported a net profit of $16.9 million.
