iSelect appoints new CEO to take the reins

Company News

iSelect Limited (ASX:ISU) has appointed Alex Stevens as the company’s new chief to take the reins after past CEO Matt McCann resigned in October 2013.

The insurance comparison service says Mr Stevens will join the company at the end of March when he will start a handover with interim CEO David Chalmers.

While Mr McCann’s resignation last year was without explanation it came at the same time iSelect issued a disappointing trading update to investors.

Incoming CEO Alex Stevens has more than 20 years of domestic and international executive experience and his last role was as CEO of PepsiCo Australia and New Zealand.

iSelect has seen its share price sink about 30 per cent since it listed on the Australian Securities Exchange in the middle of 2013.

iSelect reported a net profit of $3.7 million in the first half of the 2014 financial year.
