Alara Resources Limited (ASX: AUQ), an Australian listed pure-play copper producer and explorer with projects in Oman, has announced it received its inaugural dividend from its 51%-owned subsidiary, Al Hadeetha Resources LLC (AHRL). The company reported receiving OMR 1,020,000, equivalent to approximately A$3.78 million, from AHRL, which owns and operates the Al Wash-hi Majaza copper mine and concentrator.
This significant payout reflects a period of robust operational performance at the Al Wash-hi Majaza asset. In the 2026 financial year, the mine and concentrator delivered 42,844 wet metric tonnes (WMT) of copper concentrate, containing 8,071 tonnes of copper and 3,241 ounces of gold. Building on this solid foundation, the operation set a new quarterly benchmark in the September 2026 quarter by dispatching 15 parcels totalling 15,199 WMT of copper concentrate, achieving its best shipping performance since commissioning in June 2024.
The AHRL Board, with the consent of Sohar International Bank, the Al Wash-hi project lender, declared a total dividend of 2,000,000 Omani Rial. Alara’s 51% share of this declaration, amounting to OMR 1,020,000, has now been successfully received by the company. Alara’s Executive Chair, Peter Lee, commented that these non-dilutive funds would strategically support the acceleration of ongoing exploration programs, facilitate prudent debt reduction, and enhance general working capital, thereby strengthening the company’s balance sheet.
