Greenvale Energy Limited (ASX: GRV), an ASX-listed exploration company committed to building a portfolio of clean energy and critical infrastructure projects, particularly in uranium, has announced the commencement of a new tenement-wide high-resolution Airborne Electromagnetic (AEM) survey. The program is underway across Exploration Licence (EL) 34157, located in the southern part of its Thunderball Uranium Project in the Northern Territory. This strategic exploration initiative is co-funded by the Northern Territory Government through its Round 19 Geophysics and Drilling Collaboration Grant scheme, supporting Greenvale’s systematic exploration strategy.

The approximately 950 line-kilometre SkyTEM survey is designed to provide significantly improved resolution compared to existing regional electromagnetic coverage, enhancing Greenvale’s ability to interpret prospective geological features. Its main objectives are to identify and map geological features that may influence uranium mineralisation, improve the definition of potential sub-surface paleochannel systems identified by earlier radiometric surveys, and pinpoint new structures and potential transport pathways for uranium-rich fluids. The SkyTEM312 FAST system, known for mapping both shallow and deeper stratigraphic and structural features, is well-suited for identifying multiple potential uranium deposit styles within the Pine Creek Orogen.

Greenvale Managing Director Alex Cheeseman stated that this latest survey represents another important step in systematically assessing Thunderball’s uranium potential, positioning the company for an expanded drilling campaign in 2027. He added that the work is critical for building the geological picture and progressing the project towards a pipeline of higher-confidence drill targets, with permitting and regulatory approvals for future drilling already in progress. All field-based work for the AEM survey is scheduled for completion in the first half of November, with results expected in late December 2026 or early January 2027, which will then inform the design of Greenvale’s 2027 field season drilling programs. The company also noted close coordination with pastoralists at Douglas Station, reinforcing strong stakeholder relationships.
