RBR Group Limited (ASX: RBR) has announced its first contract award at Mozambique’s LNG projects since a Force Majeure was lifted in 2025. The company provides skilled labour and associated services to project sites. It primarily operates within the resource and infrastructure sectors. Its subsidiary, Projectos Dinamicos Lda (PD), has secured an initial contract to supply construction worker accommodation modules for the Rovuma LNG development. This marks RBR’s re-engagement with a major regional energy project.

Projectos Dinamicos Lda will serve as a subcontractor to the Bonatti International and Mota-Engil consortium, key contractors for Exxon’s Rovuma LNG project. The scope of work for PD encompasses the manufacture and delivery of 32 accommodation modules, along with ancillary ablution facilities, for at least 100 personnel.

The initial contract, valued at around US$2 million, is part of a circa US$7 million contract awarded jointly to PD and a South African supplier, with accelerated delivery. Work is scheduled for early November 2026, with delivery anticipated by late January 2027. This award represents Stage 1 of a larger Bonatti contract to establish a camp accommodation facility for approximately 700 personnel. Successful delivery on this phase is expected to significantly enhance PD’s prospects for further project work.

Athol Emerton, RBR’s Non-Executive Director based in Africa, noted that this first contract, though modest, signifies a major step forward for PD in pursuing more significant opportunities at the Rovuma LNG development. The company also highlighted that PD and Futuro Skills are currently engaged in tender applications worth some US$100 million, signalling the unlocking of opportunities in Mozambique for RBR since the Force Majeure was lifted.
