Aeris Resources Limited (ASX: AIS), an established Australian copper-gold producer and explorer that owns and operates two producing assets, Tritton Copper Operations (NSW) and Cracow Gold Operations (Qld), along with a strong pipeline of growth projects and a highly prospective exploration portfolio, has announced a material increase to the Mineral Resource estimate (MRE) for its Golden Plateau deposit within the 100% owned Cracow tenement package in Queensland. As of 22 October 2026, the updated MRE totals 3.0 million tonnes at 2.1 grams per tonne gold and 8 grams per tonne silver, now containing 200,000 ounces of gold metal and 750,000 ounces of silver metal.
This represents a substantial 220% increase in contained gold metal and a 200% increase in contained silver metal compared to the previous MRE. Significantly, the Measured and Indicated Mineral Resource has increased substantially and now accounts for 50% of the contained gold, materially improving confidence in the resource base. The updated MRE incorporates an extensive geological review, validated historical drilling, and an additional 88 new drill holes totalling 16,204 metres. Golden Plateau is located 1km north of the Cracow Processing Facility and historically contributed approximately 850,000 gold ounces between the 1930s and 1990s.
Aeris’ Executive Chairman, Andre Labuschagne, stated, “this update demonstrates the prospectivity of the Cracow tenements and is the first step towards demonstrating a longer life operation at Cracow.” He highlighted that the Mineral Resource at Golden Plateau has increased threefold and is now constrained within potentially mineable pit shells and stope shapes. The company plans a further 15,000 metres of drilling in FY27 to test resource extensions and increase confidence, supporting a future MRE update and Ore Reserve estimate. Detailed mine design work has commenced for a potential open cut and underground operation, with permitting activities expected to be completed during FY28.
