Resource Minerals International Ltd (ASX: RMI) today reported highly encouraging assay results from follow-up rock chip and soil geochemical sampling at its Wadi Salamah Project in central Saudi Arabia. The company, which focuses on mineral development across projects in Tanzania, Finland, and Saudi Arabia targeting a range of commodities including gold, silver, copper, nickel, and lithium, confirmed significant gold-silver grades and a geochemical signature indicative of porphyry and skarn deposits. The exploration builds on previous rock chip sampling in October 2025 and a ground magnetic survey reported in April 2026.
At Target A, rock chip samples returned notable gold grades, including 7.93 grams per tonne (g/t) gold with 64.2 g/t silver, 7.50 g/t gold with 15.3 g/t silver, and 6.56 g/t gold with 22.6 g/t silver. A total of 13 rock chip samples in this area yielded gold grades at or above 1 g/t. Two zones of gold-silver quartz veins have been identified, extending over a combined strike length of more than 1.4 kilometres. Resource Minerals International is now planning an RC drill program for Target A, anticipated to commence this quarter.
Further to the south, Target C revealed a 1.8km by 1.2km zone where 27 samples displayed elevated copper, molybdenum, tungsten, and bismuth. This multi-element geochemical signature is characteristic of porphyry and skarn deposits. Rock chips from quartz veins in Target C contained up to 1665 parts per million (ppm) copper and 90 ppm molybdenum, hosted within siltstone near a granitic intrusion. The company stated that this zone most closely resembles a granite-related copper-molybdenum-bismuth system and supports earlier ground magnetic survey results suggesting a potential Tier-1 porphyry system.
Executive Chairman Asimwe Kabunga commented that the new sampling confirms high-grade gold and silver at Wadi Salamah South, extending mineralised veins, and provides a district-scale geochemical dataset to refine drill targets. The initial systematic field work forms a critical dataset for linking geochemical, structural, and geophysical targets, aiding in the definition of future priority drill targets across the promising Arabian Shield region.
