Yandal Resources Ltd (ASX:YRL) has provided an exploration update on its Ironstone Well-Barwidgee (IWB) Gold Project in Western Australia, detailing renewed diamond drilling at Arrakis, new Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling results from the parallel Anders anomaly, and further diamond drill results from Flushing Meadows. Yandal Resources is an Australian gold exploration company with advanced projects in the highly prospective Yandal and Norseman-Wiluna Greenstone Belts, whose wholly-owned IWB Gold Project spans approximately 456km² between the Jundee and Bronzewing mines.
The company confirmed the recommencement of a seven-hole, 3,300-metre diamond drilling program at Arrakis, designed to assess the depth extension and scale of high-grade mineralisation following the recent delineation of high-grade Domain C. Three of the planned holes have already been completed, with the full program anticipated to conclude by early November. Separately, RC drilling results from the Anders regolith anomaly, a parallel structure to Arrakis, yielded promising intercepts. Hole 26IWBRC0135 returned 6 metres at 2.5 grams per tonne gold from 52 metres, including 4 metres at 3.5 grams per tonne gold. These results confirm primary mineralisation associated with a deformed and altered intermediate porphyry, establishing Anders as a new exploration target.
Further diamond drilling results from the Flushing Meadows prospect were also reported. Hole 26IWBRC0090D intercepted 4.3 metres at 0.7 grams per tonne gold from 227.3 metres, while 26IWBRC0092D delivered 13 metres at 0.5 grams per tonne gold from 272.0 metres. Results from the final diamond hole, 26IWBRC0094D, are pending. Yandal Resources is continuing active exploration across the IWB Gold Project, with assay results from the Arrakis diamond core drilling expected from late October and air-core drilling results from Flushing Meadows anticipated in November.
