Aguia Resources Limited (ASX: AGR), an ASX-listed multi-commodity company with pre-production phosphate projects located in Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil) and gold projects in Bolivar (Colombia), has provided an update on its Tres Estradas Phosphate Project. The company reported initial sales of 825 tonnes of Pampafos since September 15, 2026, at an average price of A$192 per tonne. These initial orders are primarily for summer-season product trials, accounting for less than 10% of participating customers’ seasonal requirements, with larger agricultural customer trials offering significant potential for future growth. Aguia also confirmed a substantial stockpile of 30,000 tonnes of mined ore at its DB Plant, ready for processing and expected to underpin increased sales.
Operations and sales are continuing as normal, supported by broad backing from multiple stakeholders in Rio Grande do Sul. This support was highlighted by a rally held by FEDERASUL in Porto Alegre on September 30, 2026, in support of the Tres Estradas Project, attended by numerous mayors and regional representatives. Regarding the ongoing judicial proceedings, the Regional Federal Court of the 4th Region (TR4) is anticipated to review the matter within the next 30 to 60 days. Managing Director and CEO Timothy Hosking stated this represents a constructive and positive step forward, noting the dissenting judge has prioritised the review and accepted the Municipality of Lavras do Sul’s application to annul the judgment, which will be considered alongside submissions from Aguia and the State of Rio Grande do Sul.
Further demonstrating its long-term strategy in the region, Aguia has commenced the simplified Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process for its Passo Feio tenement with FEPAM. This project is identified as an additional source of feedstock, with previous auger drilling in 2025 and 2026 indicating an average P2O5 grade of 7%. Approval of the simplified EIA is expected within approximately 90 days, followed by a mining licence within 90-120 days. Ore from Passo Feio is projected to replace ore from Três Estradas once the new plant at Três Estradas is completed, which is anticipated in late 2027 or early 2028.
