GBM Resources Limited (ASX: GBM), a mineral exploration and development company focused on discovering world-class gold deposits in Queensland, Australia, has provided an update on its Stage 2 drilling program at the Twin Hills project. The company, which operates a high-calibre project portfolio hosting district-scale mineralised systems within the Drummond Basin and holds approximately 1.84 million ounces of gold in mineral resources across its flagship assets including Twin Hills, Yandan, and Mt Coolon, detailed that the extensive 50,000-metre program is primarily aimed at expanding the Twin Hills Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE).
The ongoing Stage 2 drilling efforts continue to yield encouraging results, extending known mineralisation beyond the existing MRE boundaries at both the 309 and Lone Sister deposits. This comprehensive program is also focused on significantly enhancing confidence in the current resource while simultaneously better defining areas of higher-grade mineralisation. Furthermore, a crucial aspect of the work involves refining the geological and structural controls governing mineralisation, providing deeper insights for future resource development and planning.
Looking ahead, GBM Resources has reiterated its key objectives: to further improve confidence and high-grade continuity within the existing Twin Hills MRE, expand mineralisation around the current resource boundaries, and gather essential geological, metallurgical, and geotechnical information to support forthcoming project studies. With assay results currently pending for approximately 2,150 metres of drilling completed at the 309 deposit and an additional 1,400 metres at Lone Sister, these forthcoming findings will be integrated into the geological and mineralisation models. This data will be crucial in preparation for a planned Twin Hills Mineral Resource update, with future work also encompassing metallurgical test work and further step-out and infill drilling.
