TechGen Metals Limited (ASX: TG1) has announced the identification of five new Priority 1 gold targets at its Dalgaranga Gold Project in Western Australia. TechGen Metals is an Australian registered exploration company with a primary focus on exploring and developing its copper, gold, and antimony projects across highly prospective geological regions in Western Australia, the Northern Territory, and New South Wales. The Dalgaranga project, located 475 kilometres northeast of Perth and 55 kilometres northwest of Mount Magnet, is situated within a proven gold-producing corridor, adjoining Ramelius Resources’ Dalgaranga Gold Project.
The new targets, designated T1 to T4 in the northern project area and T7 in the southern, were revealed through the interpretation of recently flown Airborne Magnetic and Radiometric data. Notably, none of these newly identified Priority 1 targets have been drill tested previously. The T3 target exhibits coincidence with highly anomalous arsenic and gold soil and rock chip results, while T4 is positioned near a gold anomalism identified by Western Reefs Limited in 1997. These new targets, alongside the existing Armstrong Prospect, are strategically located along the Karbah Shear Zone, a regionally significant structure that hosts both Ramelius Resources’ Dalgaranga Gold Project and Westgold Resources’ Big Bell Gold Mine.
Previous rock chip sampling by TechGen at the Armstrong Prospect has yielded high-grade gold results, including 39.3g/t, 25.8g/t, 12.0g/t, and 8.89g/t gold. Despite a historical trial pit by WMC in 1986, which recorded production of 107 tonnes at 2.5g/t Au, the Armstrong Prospect itself has never been drill tested. TechGen’s Managing Director, Ashley Hood, commented on the significance of these findings, noting that the broader region has been largely underexplored. The company is now expediting heritage approvals with the aim of commencing Aircore and RC drilling at these target areas, including Armstrong, T1-T3, and T7, before the end of Q4 this year.
