Renegade Exploration Limited (ASX: RNX), an Australian-based minerals exploration and development company with assets in North America and Australia, announced on 1 October 2026 that work has commenced at its 100%-owned Junction Project in Yukon, Canada. New historical data has further strengthened the project’s interpretation as a large-scale Reduced Intrusion-Related Gold System (RIRGS) within the prospective Tintina Gold Province. This progress follows a comprehensive review of historical geological mapping and rock-chip data, which significantly expands the known footprint of the intrusive system and supports the company’s exploration model for the undrilled prospect.
The recent data analysis revealed a material expansion of the mapped intrusive footprint, growing from approximately 0.74 square kilometres to 2.0 square kilometres. This expanded area, part of a larger 5 square kilometre zone, now includes sheeted quartz veining, pyrrhotite-altered hornfels, and additional monzonite intrusions. Furthermore, previously reported soil geochemistry defines an approximately 5-kilometre gold-bismuth-tungsten-copper anomaly associated with the intrusive system, complemented by a separate 6-kilometre silver-zinc-antimony anomaly. These findings provide increasing confidence in the RIRGS model Renegade is pursuing at Junction.
In response to these compelling results and with Junction remaining undrilled, Renegade Exploration has commenced a helicopter-borne magnetic survey. The survey is specifically designed to delineate the RIRGS architecture more precisely and refine priority targets for the subsequent phase of exploration. Renegade Exploration Chairman, Mr Robert Kirtlan, highlighted that “Junction is becoming a much more compelling exploration target as we bring together the historical geology, geochemistry and our understanding of the intrusive system.” He added that the upcoming magnetic survey is crucial for understanding the system’s scale and architecture to identify areas for priority follow-up.
Junction forms a key part of Renegade’s expanding Yukon portfolio, which also includes the drill-ready Myschka RIRGS prospect located approximately 35 kilometres away. The current work and ongoing integration of geological and geochemical information are vital steps in advancing this significant undrilled intrusive-related gold target towards potential maiden drilling.
