Kincora Copper Limited (ASX: KCC), a copper-gold explorer and hybrid prospect generator, has provided an update on its ongoing drilling activities. The company announced significant progress at its Nevertire South and Nyngan licences. These are part of the Northern Junee-Narromine Belt (NJNB) project within the Macquarie Arc’s covered northern extensions, and are subject to earn-in and joint venture agreements with AngloGold Ashanti Australia Limited.
The update highlighted the upgrading of two Nevertire South porphyry complexes for continued drilling. 2026 activities at the Nevertire Magmatic Complex identified copper and gold grades indicative of proximity to porphyry system centres, prioritising these for follow-up. Four scout holes at Nevertire South’s southern strike revealed four potential new complexes, supporting province-scale potential with continuity of volcanics and intrusions across a prospective strike exceeding 40 kilometres. Scout drilling has also resumed at Nyngan, targeting the Ace of Spades and Gerar prospects, with five to eight holes planned.
Kincora’s collaboration with AngloGold Ashanti Australia Limited reflects a strong partnership. The Nyngan and Nevertire South licences are part of two earn-in and joint venture agreements, allowing AngloGold Ashanti the right to invest up to A$100 million across five adjacent licences within Kincora’s NJNB portfolio, spanning over 100 kilometres. Kincora manages these programs and receives a 10% management fee. John Holliday, Technical Committee chair, and Peter Leaman, VP of Exploration, noted that drilling at Nevertire South has advanced the discovery of new Macquarie Arc porphyry copper-gold mineralisation. They highlighted anomalous copper in hole NEDD011 as a potential indicator of a large porphyry system, calling the established scale of opportunity within the first year a significant outcome.
