Kathmandu appoints Kirk as Chairman

Kathmandu Holdings Limited (ASX:KMD) has appointed former rugby champion David Kirk as chairman of the company.
 
Mr Kirk has a number of strings to his bow including former high profile business roles including CEO of Fairfax Media and chairman of Hoyts.
 
He is also currently the chairman of Trade Me and the Managing Partner of Bailador Investment Management.
 
In addition, Mr Kirk is Chairman of Trustees of Sydney Grammar School, a director of the Sydney Medical School Foundation and FoodShare.
 
Mr Kirk, a former captain of New Zealand’s All Blacks, will replace acting chairman John Harvey.
 
Kathmandu generated a net profit of $39 million in fiscal 2013.
