JB Hi-Fi Limited
(ASX:JBH) has posted a bumper first half profit of $90.3 million, up 10 per cent on the same period a year ago.
The retailer says total sales lifted by close to 7 per cent to $1.94 billion.
CEO Terry Smart says the company has seen positive comparable sales across the majority of hardware categories, the successful introduction of home appliances and strong growth in the commercial division.
JB Hi-Fi maintained its full year sales growth guidance of between 6 and 8 per cent and says it plans to open eight new stores in the next year. It also plans to convert 13 existing stores to JB Hi-Fi Home.
The retailer says it expects full year net profit to be between $126 and $129 million, as much as 10 per cent higher than the previous year.
