Nufarm Limited
(ASX:NUF) has secured distribution rights to Valent branded turf, ornamental and aquatics products in the US.
The arrangement will cover Valent’s portfolio of insecticides, fungicides, herbicides and plant growth regulators.
Managing Director Doug Rathbone says the addition of Valent products will strengthen Nufarm’s position in the US turf, ornamental and aquatics markets, which it has identified as a key growth opportunity.
Valent is a subsidiary of Sumitomo Chemical Company.
Nufarm delivered a net profit of $81.75 million in fiscal 2013.
