Ausenco Limited
(ASX:AAX) has won a contract to provide project management and engineering support services to Bandanna Energy’s Limited
(ASX:BND) Springsure Creek Coal project in Queensland.
The company will deliver a budget, schedule and project plan to allow Bandanna to finalise the design and capital cost of the project by June 30, 2014.
Bandanna expects to begin production at Springsure Creek by mid-2015.
Stage 1 of the project involves a single underground longwall with a production capacity of 5.5 million tonnes per annum, with an estimated capital expenditure of $743 million.
Ausenco generated a net profit of $3.5 million in the first half of fiscal 2013.
